Taking pictures
The proper procedure to point out the spots on the animals
is discussed in the manual. Below is a summary for those who want to contribute and send pictures to scientists:

- Try to take your photographs as perpendicular to the animal (and the area where the spots are visable) as possible. I3S’s performance will seriously degrade when the viewing angle exceeds 40 degrees. However, small angles may have a negative impact as well.
- Only use images where you can see the reference points. To be able to compare images with each other the proper positioning of the three reference points is essential.
- Only send good quality images to the scientists.
- Always send pictures to scientists including information about location and date.
